Want to get WILD?

Don’t get the wrong idea here, we are talking about Wilderness Immersion Leadership Development.

What is WILD?

WILD (Wilderness Immersion Leadership Development) is a catalyst to help great people do BIG things.  WILD combines wilderness skills experiences with leadership coaching, enabling participants to reflect on themselves as leaders and their organization.

Leaders leave their WILD experience with greater awareness of areas where their leadership effectiveness is constrained and with personal commitments to improve. Plus, participants do some team building and learn some fun, important wilderness skills that serve as vibrant metaphors for leadership and business fundamentals.

How Does WILD Work?

BIG Acts’ WILD Experiences are designed to create a microcosm of being a leader in the business world, that is, leading a team without all the information or the perfect tools.

Participants are put in varying roles of leading others through wilderness challenges with limited knowledge and information.  An example challenge may include making water boil by starting a friction fire (using a bow & drill).

Types of WILD Experiences

WILD Experiences are highly flexible and customizable to meet people where they are in terms of their comfort with the outdoors, the size of the group, the range of leadership experience, and the amount of time available.

We have options ranging from half-day workshops to 4+ day retreats.  The only requirements are access to nature and open minds looking to grow.

Our Approach to Transformative Learning

WILD Experiences go beyond learning and doing. They are designed to help transform people into better leaders. To do this, we use a transformational learning cycle to generate lasting outcomes.
